Contents of the course of classical music

Pedagogical proposal

Clarinet – Prof.. Pablo Barragan
  • The breathing technique, “Tell me as you breathe and I'll tell you who you are”.
  • The sound and its production, techniques of vocalization and projection of sound.
  • The embouchure, balance between stability and flexibility.
  • General technical resources of the current and contemporary repertoire.
  • Study skills.
  • Canas retouching workshop, How to choose material for the benefit of our needs.
  • Make music from the public, techniques of concentration and visualization.
  • Repertoire transcribed for clarinet and chamber music repertoire.
  • It will work in individual lessons and group to meet all the possible aspects which
    contribute to the development with the instrument during the course, and especially try to of
    acquire the tools needed for the / students can continue to develop that
    work on a continuous basis.

Classical guitar – Prof.. María Esther Guzmán
  • Study guitar technique for achieving conscious musical performance.
    Position, pulse and study of physical gestures and their intimate relationship with the musical gesture.
  • The sound as a means of expression. Technique filed and shaped nails.
  • Original Code and related instruments transcripts of different periods and styles.
  • Study skills and memory.
  • The interpretation to the public.

Percussion – Prof.. Antonio Moreno
  • Study of the Repertory for percussion: soloist, Chamber music and orchestral.
  • Improvement in individual classes of the different technical and interpretative aspects of
    each of the specialties: box, timbales, xylophone, Marimba/vibraphone and small percussion.
  • Work of the speciality of percussion set: reading, study and preparation of concert.
  • Study of free improvisation.
  • Work of body percussion.

Saxophone – Prof.. Miguel Ángel Lorente
  • Improvement in individual classes of the different technical and interpretive aspects of the
    repertoire contributed by the student.
  • Study on the technical control of the instrument: digital art and sound, making special
    attention on the speed of the air and its control, position and flexibility of the mouth.
  • Improvement of the different techniques used in contemporary music.
  • Group practice of repertoire of different styles, Orchestra and quartet repertoire.
  • Contemporary music and its study through improvisation.
  • Chamber music and theatre games to develop group listening.

Trumpet – Prof.. Manuel Blanco
  • The breathing technique.
  • The sound and its production.
  • The embouchure, balance between stability and flexibility.
  • Body position, use of the gesture for the benefit of the music and the performer.
  • General technical resources.
  • Study skills.
  • Make music from the public, techniques of concentration and visualization.
  • It will work in individual lessons and group to meet all the possible aspects which
    contribute to the development with the instrument during the course, and especially try to of
    acquire the tools needed for the / students can continue to develop that
    work on a continuous basis.
